About Us

The site

We're a family-friendly campsite situated in approximately 3 acres of a gently sloping field. This offers a mowed grassy area for campers and the remaining part of the field has been left in its natural state which regularly attracts deer and other wildlife.

Amenities

As a Certified Location exclusively for members of The Camping and Caravanning Club we can offer up to five caravan or motorhome pitches and also accommodate up to ten tents and trailer tents.

The site has the advantage of five hard standing pitches (normally used by caravans and motorhomes) which are each 12 metres in width and 8 metres deep. These have optional access to electric hook-up points and a nearby water point.  A traffic cone is located at the rear centre of each pitch to show where the hard standing ends as it is grass covered.
Please note that vehicles are not permitted on any of the grass areas that are not classified as hard standing during the period October to March as the ground is too soft and any vehicle recovery costs will be borne by the member.

There is a chemical waste toilet disposal point available with a water hose behind the general waste disposal bins area. Emptying of chemical waste down any of the toilets
is not permitted as this would destroy the biological process in the on site sewage treatment plant.

The waste disposal point for all rubbish has several large bins. The Brown bins are for recycling paper, card, plastic and tins. The Grey bins are only for material that cannot be recycled. There are several  boxes for recycling glass bottles and jars adjacent to the bins. Please do not put glass in any of the bins as this is not permitted under the Council Waste Collection Rules.

Please note: For those campers wishing to stay with a tent or campervan the outside toilet, wet room and washing up facility is normally closed from the end of October  until  the beginning of April depending upon the weather conditions.
